ABOUT ME
I've been desiging websites for years with Wix, mainly for friends, but also commercially here and there. I've designed the website for Atomic Words - who I work for - so do check it out. I've never really thought of openly marketing my skills before, but as an ambient musician I see a lot of musicians' websites... and I really think you need me!
Why me? It's easy enough to find companies to make you a website. However, you'll not find many that will know that when you're talking about envelopes you don't mean manilla and that the waves you mention won't be found on the beach*. I also offer very competitive prices and a fast turnaround.
In addition, I have years of editorial experience, first as Editor-In-Chief of the British magazine Vision, then as Copy Editor at RECORDING. I'm a Jill of all trades, I can write, proofread, edit copy, and I'm also well-versed and practiced in graphic editing, document publishing, and video editing.
I am also Associate Editor for Danish company BJOOKS, a niche coffee table book publisher specialising in titles on electronic audio equipment.
*Actually they will - I love field recordings!
ABOUT THE OTHER ME
As well as my professional life, I have a very active hobby - helping to run an ambient music radio station - RadioSpiral - that I co-founded.
I am a regular host, DJing curated music as well as performing a live improvisation during my weekly show. I build and maintain RadioSpiral's Second Life presence, which is a beautiful large island in one of the longest-running metaverses. Here we have a nifty gadget called a holodeck, which really does do what you'd expect if you've seen Star Trek. One mouse click and a whole new mini world appears! Here our listeners can enjoy a different location every show, even though they're in the same place. It's a lot less confusing than it sounds.
The music section of this website is for my regular listeners who want to listen to my podcasts, or for those wanting to listen and buy my music.
